Career Perspective Series

Besides the PhD Introductory Event, you can register for
lectures, interactive workshops, courses and events in the
Career Perspectives Series (CPS), focused on various
PhD career building topics. Learn how to write grant proposals,
how to build up your CV, get the hang of networking or "learn to
fail and stay happy about it".

Some practical info:

  • For each training, it is indicated whether it targets an academic career (Inside Academia), a non-academic career (Outside Academia), or both.
  • Most trainings are awarded with ECTS credits.
  • All trainings are open for PhD candidates and Postdocs at the UG, UMCG and ENLIGHT universities. If you are a Postdoc: please read the introduction of each workshop/course carefully, as some of them are specifically targeted at PhD candidates.
  • Important: if you are registered but can no longer attend, please unregister via “My overview” or send us an email at phd-cps@rug.nl so that your place can be offered to someone else.
